Admissions

Admission to the University is open to all student applicants regardless of religion, race or gender. Every applicant is considered individually in a holistic assessment using all the information available to us.

The Office of Student Admissions caters to all inquiries and applications. Applicants must submit the required documents and pass the entrance examinations. In some cases, an interview with the Dean may be necessary.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Elementary School Admission Requirements

  • Birth Certificate – 1 original, 2 photocopies
  • 2 pcs. 1×1 ID picture
  • Original copy of Report Card from the last school attended signed by Principal
  • Interview

Testing fee – PhP 350.00

Time of Exam – 8:00am – 12:00nn

Test results will be given out after three days by the Guidance Office

Bring the following on exam day:

  • 2 pcs. Pencils (#2 with eraser)
  • 1 pc. whole sheet of paper
  • Exam Permit and Receipt
  • Snacks (examinees are not allowed to go out during break time)

Junior High School Admission Requirements

  • Original F-138 (Report Card) or photocopy of latest grades
  • Original and one clear photocopy of Birth Certificate
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation from either: the Principal, Adviser, or Guidance Counselor
  • 2 pcs. 1×1 ID picture
  • All transferees are required to go through interview prior to applying. Please come with parents/guardians on your interview schedule.

  • PWU-JASMS High School Entrance Exam
  • Interview
  • Copy of NSO Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of Junior High School Completion/Junior High School Report Card
  • 2 pcs 1x1 ID picture
  • Certificate of Good Moral character
  • QVR Certificate (Qualified Voucher Applicants Only)

Freshman Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

  • High School Card Form 138 (original and photocopy)
  • Letter of Recommendation / Certificate of Good Moral Character from High School Principal / Guidance Counselor (original and photocopy)
  • NSO certified birth certificate (original and photocopy)
  • 2 colored 1.5 x 1.5 ID pictures

Pre-enrollment Procedures

  1. Go to the Admissions Office at the Ground Floor, Taft Wing. Fill out the Admission Form and secure an Applicant Number.

    Note: Foreign student applicants should present all requirements for admission to the Foreign Student Coordinator at the Registrar’s Office for evaluation before filling out an Admission Form.

  2. Proceed to the Guidance / Testing Office at the Mezzanine, Malvar Wing. Present the application form slip to the psychometrician on duty and take entrance exam. Wait for the release of the Admission Notice (Test Result).

    For the following applicants who are:

    • Foreign Service Applicants – report to the School of International Relations and Diplomacy for the interview.
    • Music Applicants – report to the School of Music for auditions
    • Fine Arts Applicants – report to the School of Fine Arts and Design for the art test.

  3. Secure Adviser’s Slip for enrollment.
  4. Proceed to the Cashier’s Window, 2nd floor, Nakpil Wing. Pay Php 2,500.00 for the Reservation Fee if the application is made before the enrollment period. This fee is non – refundable but deductible from the Tuition Fee upon enrollment.
  5. Return to the Admissions Office. If application is made during enrollment period, submit all requirements to the Registrar’s Staff on duty to process enrollment.
    Note: For Freshmen – FREE Entrance Exam.

Foreign Student Admission Requirements

Entrance Exam Schedule
Monday to Saturday, 9:00AM & 2:00PM

  • A. Documentary requirements
    • Scholastic record duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service consular officer located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence;
    • Police clearance certificate issued by the National Police Authority in the student’s country of origin or residence duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service consular officer. Alternatively, a certificate of good moral character from a reputable source (Employer, Government official) will be accepted.
    • Copy of the Birth Certificate
    • 2 ID pictures (1.5" x 1.5")
    • Copy of passport showing photo, data & stamp of the latest arrival of the student and existing visa. Original passport must be presented for verification only.

  • B. Personal interview by the Director of International Students Office. A written test may be required.

Transferee or 2nd Degree Course Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements:

  • Certificate of Transfer Credential / Honorable Dismissal (original and photocopy)
  • Certified True Copy of Grades (original and photocopy)
  • Letter of Recommendation / Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Dean or Guidance Counselor of the last school attended (original and photocopy)
  • NSO issued birth certificate (original and photocopy)
  • Marriage Certificate (for married female students – 2 photocopies)
  • 2 colored 1.5 x 1.5 ID picture

Pre Enrollment Procedure:

  1. Go to the Admissions Office, Ground Floor, Taft Wing. Fill out the Admission Form and secure and Application Number.

    Note: Foreign student applicants must present all requirements for admission to the Foreign Student Coordinator and the Registrar’s Office for evaluation before filling out the Admission Form.

  2. Proceed to the Guidance / Testing Office. Present application form slip to the psychometrician on duty and take the Entrance Exam.
  3. For the following students who are:
    • Foreign Service Applicants – report to the School of International Relations and Diplomacy for the interview and credit evaluation.
    • Music Applicants – report to the School of Music for the Audition and Credit Evaluation.
    • Fine Arts Applicants – report to the School of Fine Arts and Design for the Art Test and Credit Evaluation.
    • Note: After you’ve finished with the interview/tests, secure your Adviser’s Slip.
  4. Entrance Exam results are then forwarded to the Dean of the School (department).
  5. Submit Adviser’s Slip and credentials to the Registrar’s Staff at the Admissions Office.

Graduate Students Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements:

  • Transcript of Record (original and photocopy)
  • Certificate of Transfer Credentials / Honorable Dismissal (original and photocopy)
  • If employed, Certificate of Employment (original and photocopy)
  • If unemployed, Barangay Clearance (original and photocopy)
  • NSO issued birth certificate (original and 2 photocopy)
  • For married women, NSO issued marriage certificate (2 photocopies)
  • 4 colored 1×1 ID picture
  • If applicable, PRC License (1 photocopy)
  • Permit to Study if applicant is working in the government and/or if she/he is a government scholar (2 photocopies)
  • Master’s Degree with thesis in an area of specialization obtained from a reputable college or university (applicants fora doctoral degree)

Pre Enrollment Procedure:

  1. Go to the Admissions Office, Ground Floor, Taft Wing. Fill out the Admission Form and secure and Application Number.
    Note: Foreign student applicants must present all requirements for admission to the Foreign Student Coordinator and the Registrar’s Office for evaluation before filling out the Admission Form.
  2. Proceed to the Cashier’s Office, 2nd floor, Nakpil Wing. Present the Admission Form at the window and pay Php 500.00 for the Profiling Fee.
  3. Go to the Guidance / Testing Office , Mezzanine, Malvar Wing. Present receipt of payment and Admission Form to the psychometrician on duty and take the profiling exam.
  4. After the Profiling Exam, bring the entrance requirements to Dean of the respective School to process enrollment.
    Profiling Exam results are forwarded to the Dean of the respective School (department)
