First Filipina and naturalized South Korean to be elected to the Korean Parliament

A Philippine Women’s University delegation on an educational tour to Seoul, Korea led by its President, Dr. Francisco Benitez (fourth from left) paid a courtesy call on Representative Jasmine Lee (center), the first Filipina and naturalized South Korean to be elected to the Korean Parliament.

A member of the Saenuri Party and a multi-awarded civic leader and TV host, Lee  is presently in Manila to speak at the World Economic Forum-East Asia Summit as a member of the Gender Equality and Family and Human Rights Committess.
