Philippine Women’s University explores academic partnerships in Wales

The Philippine Women’s University, represented by its President, Dr. Francisco Benitez, attended a series of discussions with institutions of higher education in the United Kingdom last October 10 to 13, 2017 to confer about establishing partnerships with international academic institutions.

Sponsored by the British Council, PWU and five other members of the South Manila Educational Consortium (SMEC) took part in the dialogue with academic officials of the UK institutions to determine possible areas of collaboration, including “sending Filipino faculty to the UK for professional development programmes, development of postgraduate courses in various subject areas, mobility programmes for students, and joint research,” according to the organization.
