PWU Partners with Indonesian Universities

Posted: May 30, 2018

The Philippine Women’s University has partnered with two Indonesian universities in a continuing effort to promote the principles of higher education, research, and training towards national and regional development.

In a recent visit to Indonesia, PWU President Jose Francisco B. Benitez and PWU Associate Director for Campus Life Suzie Benitez met with Prof. Dr. J. Sutarto Hadi, M.Si., M.Sc. of Lambung Mangkurat University in Banjarmasin, and Prof. Dr. H. Syaiful Bakhri, S.H., M.H. of the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta to formalize the collaboration. The Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) between the partner institutions outline their commitment to scholarly exchange and cooperation thru joint academic and research programs, support for distance learning, faculty and student exchange programs, and reciprocity in research materials and publications.

This is one of several agreements that PWU has forged with foreign educational institutions. PWU recognizes that international linkages and cooperative arrangements such as these are essential to student development as they internationalize the educational experience and prepare them for a globalized work environment.
