NCWP Day & 132nd Birthday of “Mama B.” Francisca Tirona Benitez

Posted: June 4, 2018

In celebration of the founding of the National Council of Women in the Philippines (NCWP), there will be a Thanksgiving Mass at the PWU Chapel at noon today. A symbolic Flower Offering at the bust statue of NCWP founder Francisca Tirona-Benitez, located at the hallway near the chapel, will immediately follow.

The NCWP is the umbrella organization of all women’s NGOs in the country, and is on its 72nd year of actively working to protect Filipino women’s rights and welfare, and enhancing women’s roles as agents of change and national development.

Let us all celebrate NCWP Day and the 132nd birthday of our dear Mama B. with a renewed passion and commitment to the principles that both NCWP and PWU were founded on.
