The two PWU Officials, Chancellor/ SVPAA Dr. Felina Young and VP Alfredo Reyes were greeted by the President of the Nguyen Trai University, Dr. Nguyen Tien Luan. Discussions were held regarding the partnership with PWU.

A formal presentation was held at Hanoi National University of Education. Opening remarks were made by their President by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh, followed by Dr. Felina Young.

PWU Makes Friends in Vietnam

The Philippine Women’s University, represented by Dr. Felina C. Young (Chancellor and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs) and Mr. Alfredo B. Reyes (Vice President for External Affairs) visited Hanoi last September 1-4, 2018 to establish academic partnerships with several Vietnamese universities. The Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) between PWU and the Vietnam Graduate Academy of Social Sciences, Nguyen Trai University, and the Hanoi National University of Education define the framework and guidelines for faculty and student exchange, joint research endeavours, and sharing of resources in fields of mutual interest. Mr. Reyes and Dr. Young also touched base with Vietnam Women’s Academy and the Trade Union University to explore future partnerships.

This collaboration with Vietnamese educational institutions reaffirms and advances the shared mission to promote scholarship, culture, and community engagement through international cooperation and solidarity.
