Posted: September 18, 2019

The American Ethnic Studies Program Culminating Activity held last Sept 11, 2019 at the Conrado Benitez hall capped the three week work-cum-study visit to the Philippines by students from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. During their sojourn, the “Udub” (moniker for UW) students visited the different historical spots, museums, heritage houses in Manila, Laguna, Bulacan and Silay, Negros Occidental. They also attended workshops conducted by the School of Music and Bayanihan and engaged in outreach activities with the PWU University Outreach Program (UNICORP).

This was the third such program that PWU undertook with UW in this decade (2011, 2013 and 2019) in line with the institutional program to strengthen our international linkages, and significantly form part of PWU’s Centennial Celebration. PWU Project Director is Jose Cabazor with Marivic Tirona and Becky Yusingco as coordinators.
