Home Economics Class 57 Donates Convotherm Combi Oven

The School of Hospitality and Management faculty and students showed excitement to try out the new Convotherm Combi Oven donated by the Home Economics Class 57 during the orientation/training session last September 4, 2019 held at the SHM Food Lab. The Combi Oven, which is widely used in hotels and restaurants, is a welcome addition to the SHM facilities that provide up-to-date skills and training to our students in food service operations.

Technolux Corporate Chef Miguel Vengco demonstrated the different cooking methods using the combi oven and prepared Steamed fish, roasted chicken, air fried pork and baked Foccacia.

Message from the PWU President

Many of you that I have spoken to have longingly talked about the “glory days” of PWU. Most of the faculty and personnel who have stayed on at PWU also lovingly recall those days. PWU was an educational leader in new fields of endeavor.



“Are you a Philwomenian?” That was our Facebook tag line and sure enough, we received many “likes” and “shares” from here and abroad. We feel that deep pride in being a Philwomenian.
