The PWU-Institute of Family Life & Children Studies conducted a Certificate Program on Intake, Screening, Assessment Treatment Planning and Case Management for Addiction Professionals of the UTC Basic Level Series of the Colombo Plan ICCE (International Center for Credentialing and Education of Addiction Professionals).
The training series (composed of 8 courses) is designed to ensure that addiction practitioners develop a balanced perspective of the principles relating to both the science and art of treatment. Each course is intended to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of treatment professionals, as well as promote evidence-based practice for the enhancement of service delivery and treatment outcomes.
The program was held at PWU – Noel Benitez Hall on November 6, 13, 20, 27 and December 4 & 11, 2019, led by Ma. Elena Cristobal, CRS, NCAC I, ICAP III, certified Addiction Professional and her team composed of Aimee Rose Manda and Maria Natividad Clara Abas. Assisting the Team are trained PWU faculty – Evelyn Valencia and Maricel Condino from the School of Social Work and Sally D. Bongalonta from the Institute of Family Life and Children Studies.
The PWU-Institute of Family Life & Children Studies is an accredited educational institution of the ICCE – Colombo Plan.
