Marco Alfredo Benitez will be installed as 10th president of the Philippine Women’s University (PWU) in ceremonies to be held on Feb. 22, 2020, 4:00 p.m., at the Manila Hotel in Ermita, Manila.
In a board resolution, the PWU Trustees led by Victorina Amalingan Sales, confirmed his appointment to hold office for five years or until his successor is elected and qualified.
Benitez earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering degree at the Ateneo de Manila University and his Masters in Business Administration degree at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
He was previously appointed executive vice president in August 2018.
Currently, Benitez serves as president of the Unlad Resources Development and sits on the PWU Board of Trustees.
The PWU was founded in 1919 to prepare young Filipino women for a life of productive and participative citizenship. Today, it remains true to the vision of its founding mothers while evolving into a modern institution for both men and women from kindergarten to tertiary levels.
