Three academic programs of the Philippine Women’s University (PWU), namely: Business Administration, Food Technology and Hotel & Restaurant Management were granted the highest level of Level IV Accredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) as a certifying body.

PWU Chancellor and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Full Prof. Dr. Felina C. Young trumpeted this feat during the University Academic Council Meeting held virtually last October 20, 2022. “The PACUCOA has endorsed to the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), the umbrella organization of accreditation agencies, this highest accredited level, which covers until May 2027,” the Senior VP shared.

PWU President joined in heralding the good tidings, noting that “these momentous achievements further reinforce our commitment to academic excellence and our drive for continuous quality improvement across our programs.”

Meanwhile, the Nutrition and Dietetics program was also given Level III Re-Accredited Status for five years, valid until May 2027.

The PACUCOA team headed by Dr. Dante Silva visited the University virtually on May 19-20, 2022. The results solidify PWU’s distinct educative brand. This triumph came out providentially after the University had strategically revisited and modified its Vision and Mission Statements in November 2022 to address the ever-morphing educational landscape.

“At will, PWU continues to reassess the direction of the University in these exigent but inspiring times… with the help of energized delibirations and collegial concurrences amongst the PWU stakeholders,” SVP Young shared.
